Some of us can remember the early days of Muay Thai in Northern California. The original Fairtex San Francisco housed some of the absolute best Muay Thai fighters in the industry. And Enn “Quiet Storm” Janthakhun was one of them.
Originally from Nakhon Phanom, Thailand, Enn is a soft spoken and small statured gentleman, who trained to become a Thai Lumpinee Champion as well as IKF and IKKC champion. He also turned out to be one of the best instructors in the industry. With a persistent expectation of perfection in technique, and a calm and patient teaching style he has lead the way in showing his students along with his opponents how Muay Thai is supposed to look.
Today many of us were surprised to learn that Enn is moving to Salt Lake City, Utah. While we will of course miss him, we wish him all of the happiness and success he deserves in the great state of Utah. And any time “The Quiet Storm” wants to come back to the Golden State to visit he can find a welcoming home in just about any Muay Thai gym he chooses.
On a side note, Enn is the brother of another Muay Thai legend, Jongsanan “Woodenman”. PHAS3 Muay Thai, Santa Rosa, California is proud to be a Woodenman Certified Muay Thai school, located in Santa Rosa, California.
